DHAKA: At least five police personnel were injured as miscreants hurled petrol bomb aiming at a police van in city’s Ramna area on Saturday night.

Of the injured, one received burn injuries in this incident, said a competent source.

The injured are Sub-Inspector (SI) Abul Kalam Azad and Police Constables Morshed, Mohammad Likhon, Badiar and Shamim.

Police sources said that, a gang of miscreants hurled petrol bombs targeting a police vehicle carrying 35-40 police personnel in the area around 8:30pm.

Of the victims Morshed and Abul Kalam Azad said that miscreants attacked the police bus on their way back to Rajarbagh Police Lines from Shahbagh area after performing their duty.

Shahbagh Thana Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) AK Saidul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
