DHAKA:  At least five people, including three of family, sustained burn injuries as miscreants hurled petrol bomb aiming at a passenger bus in city’s Mohammadpur area on Saturday night.

Two more people were ianjured in this incident while trying to get down from the bus hurriedly, said a spot account.

The injured are Nurjahan, 30, Billal Hossain, 26, Arman, 45, Abu Taher, 85, his sons Abu Bakar, 30, M Sujon, 22, and Manwara, 60.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police outpost assistant sub-inspector Sentu Chandra confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Witnesses said that a gang of miscreants hurled petrol bombs targeting the passenger bus carrying them in the area around 9:30pm.

Injured Sujon said that blockaders attacked the bus on their way back to Kamrangirchar residence from Gabtoli. They returned Dhaka after visiting their village home in Pabna at 9:00am.
