COMILLA: Four policemen were injured in a clash between leaders-activists of BNP and Awami League in Kandirpara area of the city on Sunday noon.

During the half-an-hour long clash that erupted at 11:45am, leaders-activists of AL vandalized BNP office located at Ranir Dighirpar and BNP men blasted more than hundred cocktails.

Motorcycle of a BNP man was also set alight at that time.

On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control at 12:15pm, firing hundred rounds of bullet.

During the effort, four members of law enforcers were injured being hit by brick-chips hurled by BNP men.

The injured are Kotwali thana inspector Shamsuzzman, sub-inspector Nasir, Second Officer Salauddin and constable Anwar.

Injured police officer Salauddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
