DHAKA: The 23rd session, also the last of the current government, of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad will begin on October 21. 

President Abdul Hamid on Thursday afternoon (Oct 4) convened the session exercising the power bestowed upon him by article 72 (1) of the constitution.

The proceedings of the 23rd session will begin at 4:30pm that day with speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair. 

Prior to the session, the business advisory committee will hold a meeting where duration and businesses of the session will be fixed.

According to sources at the parliament secretariat, the last session is likely to be very brief with three sittings.
