DHAKA: Awami League has nominated its president also Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to contest in the 11th parliamentary polls from Gopalganj-3 and Rangpur-6 constituencies.

Earlier, she ran from Bagerhat-1 in the 9th national polls and from Goplaganj-3, Rangpur-6 and Narail-2 in the 8th national polls.

On Sunday (Nov 25), ruling Awami League distributed nomination letters to its nominated candidates.

However, the party will make a formal announcement on Monday (Nov 26) to disclose the full list of the candidates. 

General Secretary Obaidul Quader made the announcement while talking to the reporters at Awami League President’s Political Office in Dhanmondi.
