DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion detained Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) councilor of ward 39 Moinul Haque Manju during a raid at his office in capital’s Tikatuli area on Thursday (Oct 31). 

ASP Mizanur Rahman, senior assistant director of Rab’s media wing, told Banglanews that as per specific allegation, a team of Rab is conducting raid at the office of councilor Manju.

A Rab official, who took part in the raid, told Banglanews that a case was filed with Wari police station against councilor Manju on Wednesday. He was arrested in the case from his office.  

Rab team along with detained councilor Manju is raiding his office, said additional superintendent of police ABM Foizul Islam, operation officer of Rab-3.
