BOGURA: Miscreants stabbed a BNP activist to death and injured his elder brother at Pakurtola area in Bogura Sadar upazila on Thursday (February 20).

The deceased was-- identified as Apel, 35, son of Abdul Mannan—a resident of Palashbari village under Gokul Union of Bogura Sadar upazila. His elder brother was--- Al Mamun—a BNP member of ward no-3 of Gokul Union.

It was learnt that two brothers were forced to get off the bus on way to Gobindaganj. They were taken to a litchi garden and stabbed with sharp weapons. Apel died on the spot. Later, locals rescued Mamun to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

It was not confirmed that two brothers were forced to get off the bus, but they were seen at Mahastan port. Police raid is underway, RKB Rejab, police inspector of Bogura sadar police station, told Banglanews.
