DHAKA: BNP has called a countrywide demonstration for Saturday (Feb 29) as the High Court today (Feb 27) rejected bail petition of Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case. 

BNP senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme at a press conference at their central office in the capital’s Nayapaltan area on Thursday afternoon.

He said, “We will hold the rally in all district towns and divisional cities, including Dhaka city, on Saturday.” 

Besides, a rally will be organised in front of the party office in Nayapaltan at around 2:00 pm on the same day, he added.
