Bangladesh U-20 national football team returned home this (Thursday) afternoon from Nepal after winning the maiden SAFF U-20 Championship title.
The Bangladesh U-20 football team beat Nepal by 4-1 goals in the final of the championship held at Lalitpur in Nepal on Wednesday.
The Maruful Haque men earlier made winning start in the group match beating Sri Lanka by 2-0 goals but lost to host Nepal by 2-1 goals to finish group runners-up and set the semifinal clash with India.
The boys in red and green then beat India by 4-3 goals in penalty shoot out in the nail-biting second semifinal after the regulation time ended in a 1-1 goal draw.
