Bangladesh achieving comprehensive whitewash of two match test series against Pakistan in Pakistan must be a fairy tale story. In its 24 years history in the elite family of test cricket Bangladesh never had won against Pakistan not to speak in Pakistan.

Now they achieved two back-to-back wins on tour against formidable Pakistan outperforming them convincingly in back-to-back tests.

Pakistan looked bruised, battered and completely overwhelmed. Bangladesh won the first test by 10 wickets and the second by 6 wickets. In any yardstick a major achievement for Bangladesh.

At stumps of day four there was forecast for rain and thunderstorm for the final day. But fortunately for Bangladesh sun shined. Bangladesh with overnight score of 42/0 required scoring another 143 runs for the comprehensive series win. Playing professionally, the Tigers crossed over the finishing line losing 4 wickets in a combined team effort. Zaker set the tone scoring breezy 40, Shanto contributed 38, Mominul 34, Shadman 24. Two senior professionals Mushfique and Shakib remained unbeaten, scoring 22 and 21 respectively. It was game set and match for Bangladesh. What a great feeling for the people of Bangladesh witnessing a massacre few weeks back and a massive flood sweeping across the Southeastern part of Bangladesh.

Litton for his classic innings of 138 was adjudged the man of the match. While Mehidy Hasan Miraj for consistent all round performance was announced as player of the series. 

Some outstanding individual performances with the bat by Litton Kumar Das, Mushfiqur Rahim or with the ball Hasan Mahmood, Mehidy Miraj, Nahid Rana can be mentioned. Miraj established himself as premiere all-rounder. Nahid Rana emerged as a tear away fast bowler. Hasan Mahmood matured as a match winner pacer. Bangladesh graduated as a very competitive test unit. Well done, Bangladesh. The nation is proud of your achievement.
