Heavy rain continued in Kanpur today (Sept 28), disrupting Day 2 of the second and final Test between Bangladesh and India.
The weather had already impacted Day 1 significantly, allowing only 35 overs of play as Bangladesh reached 107-3.
A BCB official confirmed that both teams had returned to their hotels as the rain showed no signs of stopping.
According to the weather forecast, Kanpur, a major city in Uttar Pradesh, is expected to receive more rain throughout the day, increasing the likelihood that Day 2 could be entirely washed out.
Before rain and poor light brought an early end to Day 1, Mominul Haque was unbeaten on 40, with veteran Mushfiqur Rahim on 6.
Bangladesh, looking to level the two-match Test series after suffering a 280-run defeat in the first game, are also aiming for their first-ever Test victory over India.
