DHAKA: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Wadhawan Group have christened their side ‘FC Pune City’, Goal can reveal.

The owners of the Pune club requested the Pune District Football Association (PDFA) to register them and it is learnt that the process has been completed.

“They have paid the registration fees which we have for new clubs. They have also committed to helping us in grassroots and develop the infrastructure. They registered themselves as ‘FC Pune City’,” informed a PDFA official to Goal.

The Dabanng star’s team has already penned a partnership with Italy’s Fiorentina and have roped in Bruno Cirillo, former Inter Milan defender and Emanuele Belardi, ex-Juventus goalkeeper.
