DHAKA: Bangladesh National Cricket Team Captain Mushfiqur Rahim invited vice-chancellor of Jahangirnagar University Professor Dr Farzana Islam on his wedding scheduled to be held on September 27.

Mushfiq went to the VC office to invite her and she also accepted the invitation.

Mushfiq was ex-student of the varsity and obtained honors and masters degree from History Department there.

Earlier on Sunday, he invited BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office.

On August 6, visiting Ganobhaban, the official residence of the PM, Mushfiqur Rahim invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on his wedding.

The would-be-wife is Jannatul Kifayet Mondi, BBA student of Prime University, also sister-in-law of Mahmadullah Riad, another cricketer of the national cricket team.

The engagement of Mushfiq and Mondi was held on October 26, 2013.
