DHAKA: Tamim Iqbal hit his maiden test double-century as Bangladesh feasted on Pakistan’s bowling resources to score 384 runs for two wickets on day five of the opening test at Khulna on Saturday.

Tamim struck 201 off 264 balls hitting 17 boundaries and seven over boundaries as Bangladesh took 87-run lead in reply to Pakistan's first innings total of 628, wiping  out the deficit before lunch.

It is the second double century for Bangladesh in test cricket. Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim hit country’s maiden double ton against Sri Lanka at Galle on 12 March 2013.
