DHAKA: Neighboring country India termed the 10th parliamentary polls as internal and constitutional process of Bangladesh.
The official response came on their website after the 10th national election in Bangladesh on Monday.
It added: “Elections in Bangladesh on January 5 were a constitutional requirement, also a part of the internal and constitutional process of Bangladesh.”
Terming the polls as people’s choice, India said, “It is for the people of Bangladesh to decide their own future and choose their representatives in a manner that responds to their aspirations.”
The official response also enumerates that “violence should not determine the way forward. The democratic processes must be allowed to take their own course in Bangladesh”.
