Met office predicts dry weather across Bangladesh

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts that the weather may remain mainly dry today (October 14), with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", according to a met forecast for next 24 hours from 9am today.

The southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Bangladesh. A low-pressure area has formed over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was 35.2 degrees Celsius at Mongla, while the minimum temperature today was 23.0 degrees Celsius at Dimla.

The maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours until 6 am today was 27 millimeters (mm) at Patuakhali.

The sun sets at 05:33 pm today and rises at 05:56 am tomorrow in the capital.
