Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) former president Syed Almas Kabir has been arrested in a murder case filed at Mohammodpur police station.
Members of DMP apprehended Almas Kabir from his Gulshan house on Monday.
Iftekhar Hasan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station confirmed the matter on Tuesday (October 15) afternoon.
A person named Obaidul Haque filed a murder case in the capital's Mohammadpur police station on September 27, against 82 people including Syed Almas Kabir, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Jahangir Kabir Nanak have been mentioned in it, he said.
According to case statement, the accused Syed Almas Kabir directed to attack on the students during the student movement.
