COMILLA: Two road mishaps left two people, one a child, dead and five others injured in Comilla district Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Jui, 6, hailed from Kabila under Burichang, and Mosarraf Hossain, 25, from Daulatpur in Nangalcoat.

Police and witnesses said a Feni-bound bus of Star Paribahan ran over Jui on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Kabila in Burichang at around 12:30 pm. She died on the spot.

Another person on the bike and four of the auto-rickshaw, including the driver, were injured.

"They were rushed to Comilla Medical College Hospital," said one witness, Din Mohammad.
