DHAKA: The mobile user base in Bangladesh hit 109.35 million in August, up from 106.93 million in July.
Grameenphone led the market with 45.27 million subscribers versus 44.67 million a month earlier, according to figures from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
Meanwhile Banglalink grew its customer base to 27.70 million from 27.32 million and Robi Axiata had 24.97 million subscribers compared with 23.77 million in July.
Airtel ended the month with 7.97 million subscribers, up from 7.90 million, while Citycell`s customer base fell further to 1.34 million from 1.36 million in the prior month.
State-run mobile operator Teletalk had 2.12 million customers, up from 1.92 million in July.
