DHAKA: A joint meeting of the ruling Awami League will be held at party central office on Bangabandhu Avenue at 5:00pm Tuesday with some major matters on the agenda.

Central Executive Committee members, Executive Committee of Dhaka City Awami League, all thanas` Presidents and General Secretaries within the metropolis, parliament members and central presidents and general secretaries of all associate organizations will attend the meeting.

The national mourning day on August 15, commemorating the victims of August 21 grenade attack and current political situation would be discussed at the meeting, party sources said.

Awami League General Secretary and LGRD Minister Syed Ashraful Islam requested all concerned to attend the meeting in time.
