RANGPUR: The district unit of BNP-led 20-party alliance called dawn to dusk hartal in the district protesting the confinement of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and arrest of BNP leaders including its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Metropolitan BNP president Mozaffar Hossain and general secretary Shamsuzzaman Shamu made the declaration around 4:10pm Friday.
