KHULNA: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on Tuesday called 72-hour hartal in the district starting from 6:00am Wednesday.

A press release was issued, regarding the shutdown, by Khulna city Chhatra Dal general secretary SM Kamal Hossain and district Chhatra Dal general secretary Ebadul Haque Rubayed.

The hartal was called protesting the threat to arrest BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, the arrest of party’s acting general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and filing cases against some local BNP leaders.
