MUNSHIGANJ: Police arrested Munshiganj district unit Bangladesh Chhatra League President Faisal Mridha in a case filed over assaulting a woman and stealing gold jewelry and cash money.  

One Rehana Begum from Char Kewar Torki village in Munshiganj sadar filed the case with Munshiganj Sadar Police Station Saturday (June 29) evening.

Faisal was arrested at the night. 

"Faisal Mridha came to my residence and physically assaulted me Thursday (June 27)," Rehana told Banglanews.

She also brought charges of stealing gold jewelry and cash money against the ruling party student leader. 

"Faisal Mridha was detained over a local problem," said Munshiganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC, Investigation) Gazi Salahuddin.

He is the prime accused among six, added the OC.
