DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said Priya Saha’s statement is totally untrue. It is not acceptable at all.

Obaidul Quader said: “I heard Priya Saha’s speech. I saw the video of her speech to US President Donald Trump. I didn't understand how this video spread.”

Obaidul Quader told a questioner while addressing a press conference at the party President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political office on Saturday (July 20).

Terming Priya Saha’s statement intentional, Quader said Hindu, Buddhist and Christians would not agree with this statement. They all have strongly condemned it.

Obaidul Quader said: “Action has to be taken for making seditious, untrue statement against the country. Priya Saha is not involved in Awami League or its any affiliated organization.  Preparation is underway to launch legal action in this connection.”

Priya Saha complained to US President Donald Trump about oppression of minorities in Bangladesh. That complaint went viral in social media.
