DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep concern over a fake Facebook account along with posts and opinions by his name.

"I am saying it clearly that I never created any account on Facebook and I have no verified Facebook account," he said.

"So, I have no link to the posts made from the fake account and I have no liability for it as well," he added. 

Mirza Fakhrul made the remarks in a statement Tuesday (July 23).

He urged the authorities concerned to take necessary step against the fake account.
