DHAKA: Road Transport & Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Farzana Islam would face action if she is found guilty in investigation.

The minister issued the warning at the secretariat Tuesday (September 17).

Recently Prof Farzana Islam claimed to media that Chhatra League leaders now former president Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and former general secretary Golam Rabbani pressed her for sharing money allocated for JU infrastructural development.  

On the contrary, two leaders of JU unit BCL reportedly told Golam Rabbani that Prof Farzana Islam gave them taka one crore, in a phone call record that went viral on social media, triggering outrage against the JU VC.
