DHAKA: BNP vice chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu was sued for issuing life threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a live TV talk show.

Mohiuddin Mohi, joint general secretary of Jubo League, filed the case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate.

Later, Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah heard the arguments of both sides and kept the order pending. 

In the case, Mohiuddin said that BNP leader Shamsuzzaman Dudu on September 17 at a talk show on DBC Television said Sheikh Hasina has to go away like her father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, making clear life threat to the Prime Minister

Such remark has created panic among people and it is tantamount to attempt on Prime Minister’s life.
