FENI: Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said Bangladesh BNP is using party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s illness for political gain.
“The doctors’ observation about Khaleda Zia’s health conditions is quite different from that of BNP leaders and her family members. They (BNP) are more concerned about political gains than being anxious about the health conditions. They have ulterior motives,” he said.
Quader, also the general secretary of ruling Awami League (AL) party, made the remarks while exchanging views with reporters at Feni Circuit House around 12 pm on Saturday (October 26).
He also said, “The court ruled that the BNP is a terrorist party, their leader cannot stay in political asylum abroad. BNP did not take any action against its corrupt people. And during BNP regime, there was no visible development in the country.”
Central political leaders were present at the meeting.
