DHAKA: The body of Sadeque Hossain Khoka, BNP vice-chairman and former mayor of the undivided Dhaka City Corporation, will arrive in Dhaka on Thursday (Nov 7) morning.
After four Namaz e Janazas in Dhaka, he will be laid to rest at Jurain Graveyard next to his father’s grave in afternoon on that day.
BNP Dhaka Divisional Organizing Secretary Abdus Salam Azad and Khoka’s APS Nazrul Islam Kiran told Banglanews that Sadeque Hossain Khoka's body will arrive in Dhaka on a flight of Emirates Airways at 8:10am on that day.
His first Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 11:30 am.
'From there it will be taken to premises of BNP's Nayapaltan central office in Nayapaltan. On behalf of the party, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and other leaders of various levels will pay their last respects to the body of late Khoka. Second janaza will be held in front of the party office. The body will be taken to capital’s Gopibagh area, the birth place of Khoka.”
Azad and Kiran said that two more janaza of Khoka will be held at Gopibagh and Dhupkhola grounds in the afternoon.
After completion of all process, Sadeque Hossain Khoka’s family members along with his dead body in an Emirates Airways flight left New York at 11pm local time on Tuesday (Nov 5), they added.
Former mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation and BNP vice chairman Sadeque Hossain Khoka has passed away in New York.
He breathed his last at 1 pm (Bangladesh time) on Monday (November 4).
His first janaza was held in Jamaica of New York on Tuesday evening.
