No more transport strikes: Quader Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader

DHAKA: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said transport owners and workers had already called off their strikes.

Obaidul Quader said: “There are no more transport strikes. There will be no more unnecessary disorder regarding implementation of the law. If there was disorder, there would be no problem. Everything has been resolved through discussion. There is no reason for the traffic to stop.”

He also said: “If there are any inconsistencies in applying the law, then we will examine it. There is no reason for the situation to get unusual anymore.”

Quader, also the Awami League General Secretary, was addressing a meeting of AL sub-committee on cultural affairs, formed on the occasion of its national council, at Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political on Thursday (November 21).
