DHAKA: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said Amir Hossain Amu and Toafil Ahmed cannot hold responsibilities of coordinators in the elections to two Dhaka city corporations.

The CEC came up with information while talking to reporters after holding a meeting with an Awami League delegation at the Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon area of the capital on Saturday (January 11).

CEC said: “They cannot stage electoral campaigns, but can hold political programs in their constituencies.”

Awami League advisory council members Amir Hossain Amu and Toafil Ahmed were entrusted with the tasks of coordinators for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DSCC).
