DHAKA: Bringing allegations of vote rigging in elections to Dhaka North and South City Corporations, BNP will stage demonstration at the thana-level of the capital on Tuesday (February 4).
After observing hartal (shutdown) from dawn-to-dusk on Sunday (February 2), BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came up with the announcement at a press briefing at party’s Naya Paltan office in city.
Mirza Fakhrul will also brief media on Tuesday with evidence of vote rigging.
BNP’s mayoral candidate for DSCC Ishraque Hossain and Tabith Awal for DNCC polls were present at the central office during briefing.
He said not more than 5 per cent votes were cast and the results were a farce.
