DHAKA: At least 73 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) died from coronavirus (COVID-19) so far across the country.

Party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir disclosed the information at a virtual press conference of BNP’s National Coronavirus Monitoring Cell on Thursday.

At least 284 other BNP leaders and activists were infected with the deadly virus, he also said.

The party compile the information all the organizational divisions.

Mirza Fakhrul said that the number of corona cases would be much higher as they were yet to get the information of all leaders and activists.

The number of case and death of party leaders and activists was increasing every day.
