SYLHET: Former president of Sylhet district and metropolitan unit BNP MA Haque died with coronavirus like symptoms in Sylhet.

The BNP leader, who was also an adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, breathed his last around 10am on Friday (July 3) while undergoing treatment at North East Medical College hospital.
 
The hospital’s Managing Director Dr Shahrier Hossain Chowdhury confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
 
He said the BNP leader had been suffering from cold related illness for the last several days and admitted to the hospital few days ago. Later he was shifted to the ICU as his physical condition deteriorated. 

Sylhet district unit BNP Secretary General Ali told Banglanews that MA Haque’s namaz-e-janaza will be held after asr prayer in Manik Pir mazar area in Sylhet city. He will be buried at the graveyard in his parental home.
