DHAKA: Ailing Awami League presidium member and former home minister Advocate Sahara Khatun will be taken to Thailand's capital Bangkok for better treatment on Monday (July 6).
Advocate Sahara Khatun's nephew Mujibur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanew on Friday afternoon (July 3).
He said Sahara Khatun will be taken to Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand as her physical condition remains unchanged.
Sahara Khatun has been suffering from fever, allergies, and some old age related health conditions. She has been undergoing treatment at United Hospital for the past few weeks. On June 26, she was shifted to intensive care unit of the hospital.
Advocate Sahara Khatun has been an elected member of parliament for the Dhaka-18 seat for the last three terms.
