Afghanistan have named their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, set to take place from November 6 to 11 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE.
The team will miss key players Ibrahim Zadran, who is recovering from ankle surgery, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who is sidelined with a finger injury.
Left-hand batter Sediqullah Atal has been called up to replace Zadran. Atal has played six T20Is and is currently the leading run-scorer in the Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Noor Ahmad, who was absent during the recent ODI series against South Africa, has been recalled to strengthen the spin department. The rest of the squad remains unchanged from Afghanistan’s 2-1 series win over South Africa in Sharjah.
ACB CEO Naseeb Khan highlighted the significance of the series, stating, "ODI cricket remains a top priority as we prepare for the ICC Champions Trophy."
