Road mishaps kill one, 25 injured in Comilla, Manikganj

DHAKA: Separate road accidents in Comilla and Manikganj districts on Monday left one person killed and 25 others injured.

banglanews24.com.bd’s Comilla Correspondent quoting sub-inspector Lutfur Rahman of Lalmai Police camp said, a speeding microbus ran over Jalal Hossain, 15, son of Jamal Hossain of Sanicho village, at around 2:30am as he was crossing the road.

Police seized the microbus.

From Manikganj, banglanews24.com.bd said two passenger buses collided head-on at Muljan on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway leaving at least 25 passengers injured.

Of the injured, 18 were admitted to Manikganj Sadar Hospital while seven were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

The accident stranded hundreds of vehicles on both sides of the highway for an hour.
