The broadband internet service was resumed on an experimental basis across the country on Tuesday night after five days due to the damage at its central data centre amid the student movement over quota issue.
The entire country went on an internet blackout on Thursday night as the miscreants ransacked the central data centre during the anti-quota movement that got louder nationwide on Saturday.
The broadband internet services were resumed in many sectors, including banking, commercial, technology, export and mass media sectors on a priority basis.
While talking to the media, Telecommunication Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak said that the government has not yet decided to ensure internet facilities for Facebook and other social communicating media.
