Bangladesh Meteorological Department today (July 25) predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind at places over all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.
According to the BMD bulletin, light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions; at a few places over Sylhet division and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over the North Bay, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 35.0 degrees Celsius jointly in Sreemangal and Tetulia while today's minimum temperature 25.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bandarban.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours commencing 6 am today was recorded 19 mm in Tetulia.
