The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, a platform for protesting students, issued an ultimatum demanding to dissolve the Jatiya Sangsad by 3pm on Tuesday.
Nahid Islam, one of the coordinators of the platform, gave the ultimatum in a video message today.
“Fascist Hasina's parliament has not been dissolved even after the mass upsurge. If it is not done by 3pm today, we will announce a tough programme tomorrow.”
He also urged the people, including students, to get ready for the programme.
Earlier, Nahid announced in a late-night video message that Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus has agreed to lead an interim government.
The student leaders have urged President Mohammed Shahabuddin to establish this interim government with Dr Yunus at its helm.
“We want to see the process initiated by this morning,” he added.
