Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind at places over all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today (Aug 10).
According to the BMD bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said the weather bulletin issued this morning.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 34.0 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur while today's minimum temperature 24.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Tangail.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours commencing 6 am today was recorded 74 mm in Dimla.
