A special tribunal in Bangladesh has sentenced former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to six months in prison in a contempt of court case.
The three-member tribunal, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder, delivered its verdict on Wednesday afternoon (July 2).
In the same case, Shakil Akand Bulbul, also known as Md Shakil Alam, 40, from Gobindaganj in Gaibandha district, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment.
