In the ongoing nationwide operations, police have arrested 1,418 more crime suspects in the last 24 hours.

According to a press release from Police Headquarters, 998 of the detainees were held in connection with previous cases and pending warrants, while 420 others were arrested on various new criminal charges.

Law enforcers also seized two foreign pistols, one shooter gun, three magazines, 56 rounds of cartridges, four bullets, and several sharp weapons during the drives.
