The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in various parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from Tuesday morning.

According to a Met office bulletin, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may see rain with moderately heavy to heavy falls in some areas. Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal may experience rain at one or two places.

The monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh, and a low-pressure system is likely to form over the North Bay from July 24.

Day temperatures may rise slightly while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.

The country’s highest temperature on Monday was 36.3°C in Rajarhat, and the lowest today was 23.6°C in Tangail. Sunset today is at 6:47pm and sunrise tomorrow at 5:24am in Dhaka.
