DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that incumbent government did not want to reach a consensus to resolve ongoing political crisis.
He came up with allegation while briefing media at BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office on Tuesday morning.
Over Monday’s incident, Mirza Fakhrul said, “Police attacked without any instigation and arrested Tuku without any reason.”
“We demand immediate release of Tuku and termination of involved police officer,” he added.
Law enforcers arrested former president of Jatiyotabadi Chhatra Dal Sultan Salahuddin Tuku from in front of BNP Nayapaltan office on Monday night.
