CHANDPUR: Movable property of the village home of former State Minister ANM Ehsanul Haq Milan was confiscated Wednesday on order from the district certificate officer.

Kachua Thana OC Harun-or-Rashid told  banglanews24.com.bd that the movable property of Milan’s village home at Gobindapur in Kachua upazila was attached in the presence of district certificate officer Abdullah Al Mamun and a magistrate in the afternoon.

Fazle Elahi Bhuiyan, law officer of the Parliament Secretariat, filed the case with the court of Chandpur General Certificate Officer on March 22 on charge of taking allowances during his tenure as an MP “violating rules”.

The ex-minister of the past BNP government is now in jail, after his arrest in a case of “stealing mobile-phone set”.
