DHAKA: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted raid at the house of Gendaria unit Awami League Vice-President Enamul Haque and Joint General Secretary Rupan Bhuiyan for alleged involvement on casino business. 

The elite force, later claimed to have recovered Tk 1.05 crore and 730 bhori gold ornaments from Gendaria area of the capital. 

The raid was still going on in the area from Monday (September 23) midnight. However, Enamul Haque and Rupan Bhuiyan could not be arrested as they fled away.

RAB-3 captain (CO) Safi Ullah Bulbul told Banglanews that we had information that the casino money was in a house in Gendaria. Then we did further investigation then the raid was initiated at night.

He said the RAB's operation is underway to nab them.

Bulbul said, "Rupan and Enamul Haque are shareholders of the Wonders Club." 

According to an SMS sent from the RAB headquarters, details of the operation will be briefed at Baniyanagar in Dayaganj on Tuesday (September 24) noon.
