DHAKA: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said Khaleda Zia will not be freed by anybody’s mercy. 

“She’ll surely be released on bail as it’s her fair right to get bail,” Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, on Thursday (October 3), while addressing a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club demanding release of Khaleda Zia.

The human chain was organized by Sammilita Peshajibi Parishad.  

However, she cannot be held back by false cases. People must bring out their beloved leader through movement, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said.

This government (Awami League), whenever it came to power, strangled democracy. This is their history. Their character has no democracy, he said.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been serving her five years’ sentence in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case since February 8 of 2018.
