Stern action if BCL men found involved in offences

DHAKA: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) acting president Al Nahian Khan said if BCL leaders-activists are found involved with any kind of offences, stern action will be taken against them.

He issued the warnings to fellow leaders and activists at a press conference held at Mashur Canteen of Dhaka University on Wednesday (Oct 9).

The BCL acting chief also urged the law enforcers to arrest those who involved in any crime.

Abrar Fahad, a second year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of BUET was allegedly beaten to death at his dorm Sher-e-Bangla Hall early Monday (Oct 7).

The body of Fahad was found lying between the first and second floors of Sher Bangla Hall.

Later on that day, police arrested 10 BCL leaders of its Buet unit over the alleged involvement in the killing of fellow student Abrar Fahad. 

On Tuesday (Oct 8), a Dhaka court placed ten leaders of BCL on a five-day remand and fixed November 13 for submission of probe report of the case filed over the murder of Abrar Fahad.
