DHAKA: The physical condition of expelled Dhaka metropolitan South Jubo League President Ismail Hossian Samrat, undergoing treatment in National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, is now normal, said physicians of the hospital.
The doctor said multiple medical tests of Samrat had been done and his physical condition was stable.
INR, blood sugar, electrolyte, bilirubin, ECG and echocardiography of Ismail Chowdhury Samrat have been done, said a doctor at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, who did not want to be named.
Deputy Director Sameer Kumar Kundu of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases said, Ultrasonography took place on Thursday (October 10) morning. According to the report, there were stones in the Samrat’s bile. In addition, the results of the reports are normal.
Earlier, an X-ray of the Samrat's chest was performed on Wednesday (October 9). We are also preparing to return him to jail if Ultrasonography report is normal.
Earlier, a seven-member informal medical board has been constituted for his treatment.
Samrat was brought to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) hospital on Tuesday (Oct 10) morning as he fell ill. He was later taken to National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.
Later, doctors at DMCH had advised to take Samrat to National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. According to the advice, Samrat was taken to the hospital.

Samrat went underground once information linking leaders of the Awami League's youth front with the illegal gambling business surfaced.
Earlier on September 24, the government imposed a travel ban on Samrat.
Following their arrest, Jubo League has expelled its Dhaka South unit President Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat and vice president Enamul Haque Arman.
Later on that day, Samrat has been jailed for six months in wildlife (conservation and security) act, 2012 on charging of obtaining Kangaroo skin.
